2021 Nissan Patrol Y62 Ti

Our Y62 has been an absolute weapon! There is nothing it has not been able to do and trust us, we have put it through its paces. We have explored countless beaches, bush tracks and everything in between with the Y62 making them look effortless.

We ordered it around Feb 2021 however with the Covid19 delays we didn't receive the car until September 2021. This left us 4 months to modify it to suit our travel setup. We used every last day of this time but we got there and we think the effort was well and truly worth it.

If you are interested in the mods list see here.

Rear Setup

We have tried to keep the rear setup as minimal as possible, yet functional to our travel needs.

We went for a simple Full Bour Fourbie Fitouts Stockton drawer system and false floor system with a 40L EvaKool Drawer fridge in their Blackout Edition.

Fun Fact! This setup was installed in the parking lot of the freight yard in Esperance as it wasn't ready before we left.

Y62 Mods

This is where we get serious!

We researched and used all of our previous experience in 4x4's to make sure this vehicle was set up correctly to get us to all of the incredible places we want to go throughout this amazing country.

Firstly, we had to make sure it could safely and legally tow our caravan and to future proof, should we decide to upgrade down the track. We went for the 4085kg GVM upgrade from AMV Automotive. Who also did the majority of the mods to the vehicle.

We knew we would be taking the Y62 down some sketchy tracks so we thought it would be worthwhile installing a Paint Protection Film (PPF) which was installed by MADinc.

We tried to keep the majority of mods as local as possible by selecting Australian-made where possible.
